Phytel, an IBM company, within IBM's Watson Health business unit is looking for a Project Manager to join the Phytel Product and Engineering team as a Software Release Project Manager. You will be responsible for coordinating software release cycles by following the Offering Management governance process with Development, Product Management, and Product Marketing teams. Project team members are primarily located in Dallas, TX. Prefer experience with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) development and deployment.
Responsibilities of the Software Release Project Manager include but are not limited to:
- Manage all required software release activities including open source clearance, COO's, Export classification, licensing, Accessibility and Globalization assessments, ClearingHouse updates, etc. readiness and availability for GA, etc.
- Identify and manage key project risks. Establish plans to mitigate risks.
- Manage dependencies with IBM product teams and establishing DoUs as required.
- Communicate software release status to project team(s), OT, and Management.
- Develop and lead major Offering Management deliverables required for delivery of software releases.
- Ensure compliance with IBM Development practices and the Offering Management process and maintain audit readiness
Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 3 years experience in Project Management
- At least 3 years experience in IBM Software Development Practices
- At least 3 years experience in IPD (Integrated Product Development) or PMOM (Product Management Operating Model)
- At least 2 years experience in Software Legal Deliverables experience (IPLA/ToU's, COO, Open Source approvals, Export, etc.)
- At least 3 years experience in Manage Project Risk and Project Change
Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills - English-Fluent
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 3 years experience in IBM Software Development Practices
- At least 3 years experience in IPD (Integrated Product Development) or PMOM (Product Management Operating Model)
- At least 2 years experience in Software Legal Deliverables experience (IPLA/ToU's, COO, Open Source approvals, Export, etc.)
- At least 3 years experience in Manage Project Risk and Project Change
- Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills
